American Cookies

With chocolate pieces

The recipe

American cookies, which are available in all variations in every supermarket, they are so tasty and so unhealthy and I can still rarely pass them. 

Now I thought it couldn't be so hard to make these biscuits myself. So I tried around and actually a very tasty recipe came out of it. 

So if you like to eat these biscuits as much as I do, then you should definitely try the recipe. It's not really difficult and you don't even need many ingredients. 

 

Recipe

 

115 g soft butter

180 g sugar

1 pkg vanilla sugar

 

5 g salt

1 egg

160 g dark chocolate (70% cocoa), chopped

160 g flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

 

Preparation

 

First add the butter to the mixing bowl and stir in the creamy. Then add the vanilla sugar, salt and egg. 

Then mix the flour and baking powder and sift. 

Continue to mix until a rather tough dough has been formed. 

Don't worry. The butter softens the dough much more when baking and runs a bit further.

 

Then add the chopped chocolate and stir well.  

Baking

Now, with a teaspoon, portion the dough and place the pastry from the teaspoon on to a baking sheet lined with baking paper and press slightly flat.

Please always leave a little distance between the individual kleks, as they still melt when they get hot.

Connect the sheet for approx. 15 – 20 min. cold. 

Meanwhile, preheat the oven to approx. 175°C over and under heat.

 

Genießen

Now all we have to do is push the baking tray to the middle position in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 – 12 minutes.

And now our American cookies are ready and just need to cool down.
