Apple Vanilla Cake

With icing sugar

Who doesn't know. 

You have an appetite for a delicious cake for coffee and it should not only be sweet but also a little fresh and go relatively fast. And then it would be good if you didn't need too many ingredients. 

So, I thought and a vanilla apple pie came to mind. 

Most things you have if you like baking in the house so you can start right away.



3 apples

100g room warm butter

1 pinch salt

90g sugar

1 pck. Vanilla

250g flour

2 eggs

12 tbsp milk

1 pck. Vanilla pudding powder

3 tsp baking powder

First, preheat the oven to 180°C circulating air.

Then peel the apples.

Subsequently, core and cut into even cubes. 

Fill them in a bowl and cover so that they do not turn brown.

Now mix the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar to a steady mass.

Then add the eggs and milk and stir again until smooth.

Mix dough with apples


Next, in a separate bowl, mix the flour with the custard powder.

Then add the baking powder and stir well.

Slowly add this mixture to the prepared mixture, stirring evenly, until a smooth dough is formed.

Then add the diced apples.


Now grease the springform well.

Pour the dough into the springform pan and bake for 45 min. at 180°C circulating air for 45 min. 


After the 45 min with a wooden stick, check whether the dough is really baked within the baking dish. This is the case if you stick the wooden stick in several places to the bottom in the dough and no more dough sticks to the wooden stick. 

After the cake is baked, take it out of the oven and let it cool for at least 45 – 60 minutes before removing it from the springform pan.

Otherwise, there is a risk that it will break.

Who wants to sprinkle the cake with icing sugar. I always do this directly when the cake comes straight out of the oven and is still hot. 

This gives the cake a nicer look.
